What a nightmare, my PC broke down and my husband took a trip to a computer warehouse to buy new parts. He spent a day and a half putting it together. It wouldn't start after checking several times that he did everything right, he's already built to mega computers so he knows what he's doing.
This is when we took it to Best Buy to have the Geek Squad fix it. Since it was right after Christmas they said it would be 6 days before they could have it repaired. After 6 days we hadn't heard back so we waited a few more days, finally my husband called, after 10 days, and they said they couldn't fix it, bad motherboard and CPU. So he bought (ordered) a new motherboard and CPU and they said it would be delivered in 2 days. So now we have snow and they can't deliver it because the neighborhood roads are too icy. My husband called them again and asked if he could pick it up at the store and they said yes. He went to pick it up and they didn't have any more.
So we spent $199 to have the computer fixed and they never fixed it. It's been almost a month and they just delivered the parts today. Fingers crossed!!
Best Buy is OK for buying stuff but don't waste your money on geek squad. If you're given a date for repair pick up, you should never have to call the company, they should always call the customer if there's going to be a delay.
