Incompetent service, high prices. All calls to the store are routed to a useless AI backed up by a foreign call center that has zero information.

I'm writing this as a frustrated customer. I spoke with a Best Buy employee and told him what I was looking for. After a few minutes of conversation, he told me what he thought I needed. I took it home, tried it and it was indeed not what I needed. I tried to return the item to be told that they would not accept the return or even offer an in-store credit because the item had been opened.
Come on Best Buy. Do better. The reason for the one star is that I feel like I should have been told that if the box is opened that under no circumstances can it be returned even though I had the receipt, I had all items that were in the box when purchased and it was purchased less than a week ago. In that case I would not have bought an almost $70 item. If I did anyway then Best Buy could remind me that I was told that it could not be returned if opened. I should have been informed so that I could make the most educated decision. Not all of us are super Tech Savvy so do right by the customer and make sure we are aware of all of our options and ALL OF YOUR POLICIES.
What a shame.

We went in looking for an open box washer. We found one for $356. Imagine our surprise when it didn’t even have a scratch. We figured it was a floor model but we need one so we immediately said we would take it. The young lady on the floor said something like “ That’s not right”. My husband asked for a Manager and they were no help but acknowledged they knew the tag was on it the day before… attached to the washer I might add. The 3rd person basically said yeah, it’s marked wrong I can’t do anything too bad. They knew it was marked incorrectly, all three and didn’t do anything until my husband complained. It was dead in there and now I know why people only shop online.
Best Buy has the worst customer service in the world. They just lost a customer for life!
