No one was eager to help. When I finally got someone she had an attitude. Then I suddenly remembered why I quick shipping there. High prices and terrible attitudes and no one willing to help!!!
Short summary: I had an incredibly disappointing experience with this Best Buy, which had led me to never shop with the Best Buy company again. Best Buy as a whole seems to never be able to agree on the purchase price and will always try to charge you more no matter what.
I placed an online order which included a trade-in. I've done countless trade-ins with Best Buy, and they've all gone very smoothly, so I thought this would be the same. Waiting in the pickup line is slow as always, but that's to be expected.
When I get to the counter, I tell him I have a pickup order with trade-in, and he goes to get my item and looks at my ID. Standard practice. Few minutes later he does what he has to do and gives me my item. I tell him again I have a trade in, and he tells me he *cancelled* the trade-in on the order. I look in my online orders and sure enough, I have no trade-in and I was instantly charged *full price* for the item, but when I placed it online with trade-in amount taken off. The guy calls a higher-up over and what happens is 20 minutes of standing at the counter with the end result being "we can't do the trade-in." The cashier cancelled my own trade-in I ordered, and they would not do the trade-in then after.
I was trading-in a pair of wireless earbuds, and after 20 minutes the higher-up basically said it needs to include the "audio cable." Never mind that wireless earbuds don't and have never come with a 3.5mm audio cable, or that audio does not transmit via the charging only USB-C port, and I have traded in multiple items without the USB-C cable, that was it. Would not let me trade in despite the website saying I was able to. He said basically if I can bring it in with a USB_C cable, he can offer me a 35 dollar protection plan for my $75 trade-in value pair of earbuds. Amazing last-minute decision. I do wonder how many people they get with this trick.
At the end of the day, I have had issues with Shreveport and now Bossier location, I cannot ever recommend going to Best Buy again. It is obvious they prey on uninformed people to charge them more, and do not respect their customers. I hope one day Best Buy puts their customers first again, but I do not see that happening when their employees seem to be encouraged by store management to make prices higher at any cost.
