Best Buy Covington

I've been there 2 times in the past week & on both occasions I experienced INCREDIBLE & OVER THE TOP CUSTOMER SERVICE! I simply CANNOT say enough positive things about this location! We were greeted upon entry & immediately asked if we could be helped. They pretty much had everything we needed & of course, then some! I don't have any names specifically but as I mentioned EVERY employee was willing & eager to help! Bravo on an incredible staff!

UNRELIABLE APPLE GENIUS BAR STAFF AND MANAGEMENT. Had an older Mac that wasn’t powering on so I called Apple Support which then sent me to this Best Buy for diagnosis. Prior to traveling there, from Slidell, I called Best Buy and the online representative ensured me the staff was just as qualified as the Lakeside Apple employees. I did try to call the store prior, but Best Buy just forwards you to a call center somewhere in India. Upon arrival a young gentleman, with long dirty blonde hair, within five minutes proceeded to tell me there was nothing that could be done because the computer was too old. When I asked, then why would Apple send me here and a Best Buy Representative say you could help, he just apologized. I asked if the main Apple store at Lakeside could fix it and he just had some story about it being too old for parts. In hopes of reaching a resolution, because his reasoning didn’t make sense, I asked to speak to a manger. A female, black hair, came up and just rubber stamped the technicians, talking points without asking any amplifying questions. After that I left and called Apple Support back, they informed me the computer could be repaired or their system would’ve not allowed the appointment. Two days later I dropped it off at the main Apple Store inside Lakeside mall and in a week it was fixed it. It’s more likely a management issue, because it’s the only Best Buy store I’ve been in where you’re not greeted right away. As well as while I was standing around, clearly waiting for help, the same gentleman was just chatting with a girl while other staff, not engaged with other customers, just overlooked me. My recommendation is if you need Apple Support don’t waste your time at this store, they clearly don’t care to help.

At the Covington location. No place to check out, only Geek Squad or Customer Service. Courteous staff wasn't too happy with layout but nice overall.

Just went in to kill time and look around. The employees were helpful and friendly.
