My experience with Geek Squad was very disappointing. Despite having an appointment, I had to wait behind walk-ins, and my appointment wasn’t honored until I contacted Best Buy support for help and given an extension to the store. The guy who answered, handled it very well and got me seen immediately after speaking.
When I was finally assisted, I was told they don’t repair iPads in store and would ship it out. The representative rushed through the process and failed to confirm my contact information, using outdated details from years ago. After contacting Apple directly, I was advised to cancel the order and send the device to Apple myself due to the incorrect information and poor handling. Apple also told me iPad should be repaired at Best Buy as they are advertised as and “Apple Approved Repair Location.”
Overall, the service felt disorganized and careless.
