Visited with an appointment to see if someone from Geek Squad could look over my first custom PC build as it wasn't quite working right. Jonathan was extremely friendly and professional, explaining the potential problem, setting expectations, and making sure we were on the same page with everything. As a heads up, they generally do not take in custom builds unless you have gotten the parts through Best Buy, so they know exactly what they're working with and can easily replace items if there's any issues found. Typical turnaround is about a week for troubleshooting, and a bit longer during the holidays. Jonathan was able to take in my build and after explaining everything I felt very comfortable leaving my new rig. About 10 mins after leaving Jonathan called and a connection I had missed solved the issue and everything was working just fine. As a completely new setup they also installed Windows and by the time we got back there was only a short wait for that to be done, and Jonathan showed us it booted right to Windows before boxing it back up and even offering to carry the box to my car. A+ service today!

Went back to Best Buy and spoke with Amanda, who sold me the open box Sony Bravia TV and learned that she doesn't review the boxes to make sure everything is included. Since I was going to give her a 5-star rating for the first purchase, it was easy to give her one for the TV console I purchased. She gave me a good deal at $89 and helped me to get someone to find it, and she wheeled it on the cart to my car. She was great to deal with both times, and we both learned that she/we cannot trust whomever in Geek Squad that was supposed to check on whether the box had a power cord and other components

I wouldn't rely on this store to provide any guidance. No one has any training and simply do not know how the products work. I am going on month 3 of trying to setup a home theater. Three separate times scheduled with geek squad and all three times they call day before or same day to say the TV or Projector or installation package you were sold don't work. Complete morons and the customer service line is no better. They also have no idea what they are doing. No wonder all these box chain stores go out of business 1 by 1.

Customer service is terrible, you go to the store to pickup an order that’s supposedly ready for pickup. A staff member starts “helping” you find the order then without warning disappears from the pickup area and goes to the checkout area, leaving you standing in the store wondering what’s going on. Store manager stands by the door watching, seeing what’s happening and not doing anything. You have to then go find someone again to find your “ready” order only for them to say they can’t find it and can’t get another because they’re out of stock and that someone likely stole yours from the pickup area. Unacceptable.
