I bought a MacBook yesterday at the Dorchester Best Buy and the experience was terrible. From the moment I walked in, the staff kept trying to force unnecessary add-ons on me—extended warranty, accessories, memberships—even after I clearly said I wasn’t interested. They just wouldn’t stop pushing.
To make things worse, I was told I’d get a discount, but only AFTER I paid did they mention it was for My Best Buy members only. That’s deceptive. Why not say that up front? It felt like they were just trying to trick me into joining something I didn’t ask for.
This kind of aggressive sales behavior and lack of transparency is unacceptable. I came in to buy a laptop, not to be manipulated. I won’t be coming back to this location and will think twice before shopping at Best Buy again
Very good assessment of laptops
I have to say, I thought customer service was dead in Boston Massachusetts. I visited Best buy with my dad in South Bay. Chris greeted me and my dad at the door, then directed me where to find the firestick, it wasn't that busy so he walked us over 3 isle over and we found what we needed! 😀 Chris, thank you, we thank Best buy for training in customer service for their customers! Stars are in the star hi!!!! 🤔🧐😃
Not that expensive as I thought
