Geek Squad Service Review: I scheduled a dash camera installation for 3:00 PM on 4/11. We arrived at 2:40 PM and were told the install would take 1 to 1.5 hours. After walking the mall for three hours to kill time, we checked back in only to find the technician struggling. He admitted he was consulting the service center because he didn't know how to install it in a newer vehicle.
After another 30 minutes, he claimed he just needed to wire it and it would be another half hour. An hour later, he finally admitted it wasn't working and that we would need to return to see a more experienced technician. We wasted four and a half hours simply because he didn't admit he lacked the expertise from the start. We would have been happy to reschedule for a day when an another tech was available.
On Day 2, we dropped the car off early for a 1:30 PM appointment, expecting a quick finish since the 'wiring was done.' Picked up at 3:30pm when we came to check in as we hadn’t received a call yet and could not get through on the phone. Gentleman was very nice and understood our frustration. We did receive a credit for ($70 of our $199 install fee) which we appreciated but will not be using this service again.

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. We understand expecting your installation appointment to take a certain amount of time but having it go much longer and needing a second appointment because the Autotech didn't acknowledge their skill level sooner, isn't welcome.
