Midnight Nintendo Switch 2 launch was smooth. Divided lines to allow preorders to be able to get in and out. I was able to add on the coverage after the purchase and I was out and home to play the new system. The Best Buy team made it very easy
I always get very good service in the Annapolis store. I have a Best Buy membership, and their online support has helped me countless times.
The Absolute Worst Customer Service Experience — Avoid Best Buy at All Costs
If I could give zero stars, I would. Best Buy has firmly cemented itself as the worst customer service company I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with.
We recently purchased a refrigerator through them — a major purchase that should have been handled with professionalism and basic human courtesy. We took time off work, scheduled our delivery day, and even received a confirmation text the morning of the appointment. Everything seemed set.
Then came the chaos. What we did gather was that they refused to install the fridge because we had a “stick valve” instead of a “ball valve” for the water line. This alleged requirement was nowhere in any paperwork, documentation, or during the purchase process. Not once. Not one word.
Trying to resolve this with “customer service” (and I use that term very loosely) was a nightmare. I was hung up on twice, then put on hold for 22 minutes — only to be disconnected again. When I tried calling the store directly, I was placed on hold for 15 minutes and sent on a wild goose chase through various departments, only to be abruptly hung up on yet again.
This is now the second time we’ve had a major issue with Best Buy and their subcontracted installers. There is no accountability, no communication, and certainly no care for the customer’s time, money, or experience.
Do not make the mistake of doing business with this company. Best Buy has become a textbook example of what happens when corporations no longer have to compete for customers — they start abusing them instead.
We need more consumer choice, because companies like this have completely forgotten that people’s lives are affected by their incompetence.
Very good customer service and staff. I'm from Baltimore. So being treated well in Annapolis is a HUGE plus. Makes me want to relocate...
