Best Buy - Frederick
I had an appointment with Geek Squad through Apple Support to bring in my iPhone 16 Pro, which was still under warranty, to check a pixel defect (a little black dot along the edge of my screen) which had suddenly appeared. I researched the issue before going in and read it was a manufacturing defect that would be covered by warranty. The guy I spoke with at the counter took one look at my phone, told me it wouldn't be covered, that I must have dropped it (l hadn't), and that the problem would most likely spread. He said the screen would have to be replaced which would cost over $300 and that I should have gotten Apple Care. I reminded him the phone was still under warranty, told him I hadn't dropped it, and explained that I'd read on the Apple Support website this issue would be covered. He basically waved me aside saying he sees this issue multiple times every day and to trust him...it isn't covered under warranty. He even went further to explain the color of the pixel damage (being black and not yellow or blue) meant I had dropped it. This seemed awfully strange to me. I went home and called Apple support, which I should have done in the first place. They assured me it would be covered under warranty and made an appointment for me with the Genius Bar at an Apple Store an hour away. I just got back with my beautifully repaired phone and new screen at no cost to me as it WAS covered under warranty. The Apple rep said everything the guy at Best Buy told me was incorrect and to just not go there for repairs. I'm thrilled to have my phone fixed, painlessly with just an hour wait, but still fuming I was fed such misinformation at the Frederick Best Buy.

I hope Samsung stay away from BestBuy for delivery service. Terrible system, try to schedule online many times. I'm a client, not ask for free stuff.
PLEASE DON'T CONFIRM THEN ASKING FOR RESCHEDULE. Everyone has job to do, not only you.

If you're going to look at a cell phone, make sure you speak to an actual Best Buy employee and not one of the predatory AT&T workers that will bulldoze over you saying "I just need a phone. I'm not looking to change or upgrade my plan. I'm looking for one (1) new phone." to try to get you to change providers and upgrade two phones and trade in and change providers. Trying to upsell a customer beyond anything they're actually looking for? No thank you. One star review for that experience.
The actual employee we dealt with was helpful but unable to fully help with data transfer and setup, so we ended up just going to the Verizon store instead. Three stars for this part, averaging out to a two star experience. And that's generous.
