This is the email I had to send because of my experience here: Best Buy Corporate Team, I am writing to report a very frustrating experience I had today at the Best Buy store in Glen Burnie, Maryland. I entered the store with the intention of purchasing a Lenovo IdeaPad Pro tablet. While browsing the tablet area, I had a pleasant conversation with the AT&T sales representative, who was helpful and professional. However, he was unable to access the locked cabinet where the tablets were stored. I then waited for a Best Buy sales associate to become available so the cabinet could be opened and I could complete my purchase. Unfortunately, every associate who finished helping a customer immediately moved on without assisting anyone else waiting. After roughly 15 minutes of trying to get assistance, I walked to the front register to ask for help. I was told the employees at the register could not leave their area. I then asked if a manager could assist. After waiting another five minutes, a manager named Dylan came out. I explained the situation and simply asked him to follow me to the tablet cabinet so I could retrieve the item and purchase it. Instead of resolving the issue, he told me I would have to wait in queue again for another sales associate. At this point, I had already spent over 20 minutes in the store just trying to get a cabinet opened so I could buy a product. Rather than de-escalating the situation or assisting with a simple task, the manager chose to enforce the queue system despite being fully capable of unlocking the cabinet himself. Because of this, I ultimately left the store without making the purchase. I later decided to buy the tablet from Amazon, even at a higher price, because it did not make sense to give my business to a store that appeared unwilling to complete a sale. This situation should never occur. A customer ready to purchase should not spend over twenty minutes waiting for someone to unlock a cabinet, especially when a manager is available and capable of resolving the situation immediately. I would appreciate this incident being reviewed and the store leadership reminded that customer service should prioritize helping ready-to-buy customers complete their purchases rather than creating unnecessary barriers. Sincerely, Bryan Mills
