My husband and I purchased a HP Laptop online on March 22, 2026 for 855.00. However, after the purchase processed and we checked our account and saw they took an additional 727.00 out of our account. Which put out account, in the negative. This was brought to their attention and they argued that the charges were correct. The told us that the additional charge was how our bank processed it. That there should be 2 charges to equal 855.00. Our bank confirmed that it’s not how they did it and if the additional 727.00 doesn’t drop off after midnight on 3//24/26 to call them back to complete a chargeback. As of 3/24/26 both charges are still on the account, we have decided to completely cancel the whole order. According to Best Buy, it will take 7-10 days to process the refund. I phoned our bank to make sure the refund is processing, they told me it could take 2-3 days. This has been a complete headache just for a laptop purchase. Our business will be going elsewhere from now on. So now it’s 2 days later. We have received part of our money back however, we purchased a Windows 365 subscription. It has it was canceled on 3/24/26 however the $127.19 is still on our account. So once again I contacted customer service. I was told to go into my account and I could do the cancellation there. Once it’s canceled I will receive my refund. However it is telling me there is an issue with canceling it. Somehow I am getting my money back from this, either Best Buy is submitting the refund or I am opening a chargeback with my bank. I have proof it was cancelled on 3/24.26. It hasn’t been activated.
