My husband and I purchased a HP Laptop online on March 22, 2026 for 855.00. However, after the purchase processed and we checked our account and saw they took an additional 727.00 out of our account. Which put out account, in the negative. This was brought to their attention and they argued that the charges were correct. The told us that the additional charge was how our bank processed it. That there should be 2 charges to equal 855.00. Our bank confirmed that it’s not how they did it and if the additional 727.00 doesn’t drop off after midnight on 3//24/26 to call them back to complete a chargeback. As of 3/24/26 both charges are still on the account, we have decided to completely cancel the whole order. According to Best Buy, it will take 7-10 days to process the refund. I phoned our bank to make sure the refund is processing, they told me it could take 2-3 days. This has been a complete headache just for a laptop purchase. Our business will be going elsewhere from now on.

Purchased a tv online plus an 5 year geek squad plan and had it shipped only to find out the tv screen was smashed. Returned it to the store looking to do an exchange. Staff was friendly however she processed it as a return only. We asked to have that voided because we wanted to do an exchange. Manager came over and said there was a 1-2 minute time limit for returns to be voided. So now I have to spend twice as much and wait a week for half of it to be returned. Or wait a week for it to be returned to be able to make the purchase again. I reiterate, Staff was friendly but this is exactly why I typically do not shop at Best Buy anymore. It’s just way too much hassle and ends up costing extra unnecessarily. I’ll go back to using Amazon.
