Goodbye Best buy it was nice knowing you
Truly awful. They had a Lenovo LOO with an RTX 4050 listed for something like $565.99. It was sitting right on the shelf with the price tag I've got a photo I'm uploading the photo... And the store flatly refused to sell it to me... I said kindly but firmly I would like this computer at this price please and they fed me a load of BS... About Lenovo stocking priorities like a lot of business-to-business stuff... which is of zero consequence to a retail customer.
I then spent roughly an hour on Best buy's chat line talking to various agents and a supervisor and they're only offers to resolve the situation where models at double or triple the price.... That sure sounds like negligent or deceptive pricing to me...
Even The geek squad guy tried to get heavily into logistics chat with me and essentially insult my intelligence and told me I don't really understand how things work okay I guess 15 plus years in federal procurement and logistics, support desk management data analysis... Sure I haven't got a clue.
I'm giving Best buy 24 hours to escalate this to their corporate customer retention team... Which I know that they must have because I worked in two or three help desk support...
I told him explicitly that they have lost a customer of 35 plus years who is starting his own business and would be a model customer to buy things on a regular basis... I try to support brick-and-mortar stores even big box ones like Best buy... But I guess Amazon next day delivery it is...

The AI help is just plane bad. When I finally got a human voice he could not conect me with the store but did ask the store to call me back. The store never called

Went there today to look for blank DVDs. I know they didn't have them, but I thought I look anyway. Walked and look around and As I was walking out the door a Salesman stop me. I guess he thought I was stealing and wanted to know if I wanted help. I told him I was looking for blank dvds. A smirk went across his face and he said they haven't carried those in years. I didn't care for his attitude or his stopping me when I was leaving.
