I purchased installation at Best Buy for a name brand car backup camera (with 1,000+ 5 star ratings) that I purchased off Amazon. I paid $149.
I confirmed the model and brand of the unit over the phone. Weeks later when I got to the appointment, the installation tech almost immediately said it would not work. He wouldn't mount the LED screen t anywhere in the car, on the dash, behind the shift handle or anywhere else. He said liability wouldn't allow them to not permanently attach it. (The unit uses a suction cup holder like many cell.phones holders). He recommended I buy theirs for $160 more than I paid. And when I told him what my installation cost, he said it should have been $60 more.
The whole Best Buy system simply funnels you through their online portal with little chance tho interact with a person to ask questions.
