Best Buy Jackson

Nice clean store, staff were friendly, a bit overwhelming with as many that came over to try and help, but id rather that than no one come over at all. Also I believe his name was Jimmy ill edit later if I find out, super helpful and knowledgeable when it came down to the laptop and software, and very friendly overall.

This would be 1/2 star if I did not love Best Buy so much, and they have always been helpful and prices are good, especially sales. I have had a lot of positive transactions going back many years. I had a horrible experience with them this past Wednesday. Employee Jimmy tried to sell me a NEW package of Corsair DDR5 6000 memory in what was a CLEAR USED, RETURNED BOX. It was in the older style Corsair packaging. It had an order sticker for pickup, ripped off. The blister seal was torn of and stuck back on. Someone wrote a note on top of memory package hard enough I could read their note. "DDR5 not right". Scared me to death considering it is $500 @ pop. And I am doing this piece by piece so when I finally get to boot up return window is closed and I am in endless RMA loop. He insisted for 35 minutes Memory was new. He even brought out the product flow manager who said the package has never left store and came in August 21st. I finally had him order me a brand new package from central distribution. And I added the My Best Buy Plus Membership to give me 60 days in case they pull that one from shelf and ship it to me. Only then did he admit maybe I was right. The package did look returned. And added sometimes Best Buy returns Items to Corsair due to returns and Corsair tests them and sends them back in same package. We'll that is a lie, because Corsair would never return it as new or in same package. I contacted corporate and I received no reply. I wanted some type of explanation as to why they are selling used items as new. They have a used/return case. But why push it as new. Everyone with a computer background can read my mind on everything else I want to say. BAD 👎 Deal Best Buy, love your store, but this stains the rugs. Have a full online cart at Best Buy, but almost want to drive to Micro Center Monday and just get it there. I will post what a new package should look like, beware of DDR 5 in store #476, Jackson.

Cool place. Super helpful. Needs to have more stock though.

Used to be the best store but since the covid pandemic and Amazon take over it's lost it's prestige
