Great experience relatively low prices and wonderful customer service
This was the second Best Buy we visited today because the first one at Ridgedale didn’t have car stereo installation and no one seemed to know where anything was. We had to talk to four different employees there, and each one just vaguely pointed us toward “that area” of the store. When we finally found the car stereos, the selection was extremely limited.
So we drove up to the Maple Grove location because we were told they do installations and have a better selection.
Big mistake.
As soon as we walked in, we were sent to a back corner where the car stereo displays were literally falling apart and looked like they hadn’t been maintained in ages. Two employees back there were busy joking around and clearly didn’t know anything about car stereos. They eventually went to get another guy… who also knew nothing.
That guy then got yet another employee, who at least sat us down at a desk and took the car model info (we have a 2017 vehicle with a screen that’s going out). He typed everything into the computer and pretty quickly showed us what we would need and the total cost. It looked like we were finally making progress, and we were seriously considering making the purchase.
We asked a basic question to confirm if the stereo he picked was actually correct for our car, and instead of helping, he had the nerve to say:
“Can you step aside so we cam move this along? I need to get on with my day”
On top of that, after being told this location does installations, we were then told we’d actually have to go to yet another location for the install. So not only was the service rude, but the information we were given wasn’t even accurate or helpful.
At that point, we were done. We immediately decided not to spend a dime there and walked away. We spoke with the manager, who said he “understood” but basically shrugged and couldn’t (or wouldn’t) do anything to make it right.
The whole experience—from the broken-down displays, to employees who didn’t know their own products, to being bounced around locations, to the unbelievably rude comment when we asked a reasonable question—was awful.
Absolutely terrible customer service and overall experience. Don’t waste your time with this store or this company.

Svaughn at the pickup counter was able to effectively help me with an order issue I had online, and made what I feared would be a stressful and long experience a painless and short one! I will absolutely be back to this Best Buy because of this experience.
