Spent over an hour at Best Buy last Saturday to purchase a laptop for daughter starting college on Wednesday. Originally said laptop was in stock then could not find it. Set it up for delivery on Tuesday. Roadie picked up computer on Sunday and we were told would deliver by 6 pm Sunday. Driver never arrived. I called and questioned new ETA, told Tuesday. Tuesday at 4:30 pm received notification delivery was cancelled. Was told by Roadie driver is lost/missing and I had to contact Best Buy to fix. Contacted customer service and they said they had to wait for Roadie to confirm and it could not refund or send another driver to deliver. I then went to the Liberty Store to try to get a refund to purchase another computer and was told by the manager they are unable to do that and I have to wait 72 hours for Roadie to confirm and then it would be refunded. Store refused to refund my money or give me a replacement computer. Said I had to call their 888 number to get it resolved. The manager on duty and store personnel did not make any attempt to fix the situation.....they were totally focused getting me out of the store and telling me I hurt their feelings because I expressed anger for their failure to deliver and not provide refund. I called several times and waited on hold for a total of 3.5 hours. I spoke to several representatives who could not help at all and had very difficult understanding them because their call center reps are poorly trained and have trouble pronouncing words of the english language . I have seen several posts on Reddit and the Best Buy reviews and see this is a continuous problem with Best Buy. I have attempted to contact Vinny Julo, the General Manager, several times but have not received a call back. This feels like a scam and I will be contacting the MO Attorney General Consumer Affairs office for theft and corporate fraud.
Recently went in there to build a PC and was quite surprised at the knowledge the young man possessed who helped me. I think his name was Oscar. He knows his stuff. Anyways I'm happy with my PC and the service was amazing and when I had to return something it was hassle free
The computer techs are awesome. They told me that it would take three days to fix my problem & they called me 24 hours later & stated problem solved & I can pick up my computer.
