My pc had a fan fall off, I bought it a month ago tried calling but I couldn't get in touch because of the ai chat bot holding the phone
( oh by the way the absolutely beautiful man who sold me the PC was fantastic and nice :)
Absolutely terrible experience with Best Buy, and after this I have zero intention of ever shopping here again.
We purchased a Canon printer from Best Buy and paid an additional $70 for a warranty because we wanted the peace of mind of knowing we would be covered if something went wrong. Within the first 30 days, the printer stopped printing color.
I went into the store specifically to ask about the warranty I had PAID EXTRA FOR and find out how they were going to fix the issue. The employee told me to just bring the printer back because this model is apparently known for having color problems. I explained that I print around 150 pages a day and could not be without a printer, so I would need to purchase a replacement first. He told me that was perfectly fine.
I followed exactly what their employee told me to do.
About a week later, I came back with the defective printer after purchasing a replacement elsewhere, and suddenly Best Buy refused to refund the money back to my card. Instead, they told me my only option was store credit.
Why would I want $400 in store credit to a business I no longer trust and have no desire to purchase from again?
I made it very clear that I was returning a defective printer, that I had already spoken to an employee beforehand, and that I followed the instructions I was given. None of that mattered. The employee helping us was also extremely rude, dismissive, and acted like the entire situation was our problem.
What makes this even more ridiculous is that they also refused to refund the roughly $70 warranty. I attempted to USE the warranty when the printer failed, and THEIR employee told me not to bother with it and to return the printer instead. Now they get to keep the warranty money too?
So Best Buy sold us a printer that failed within a month, sold us an additional warranty that ended up being completely useless, gave us instructions on how to handle the return, and then changed the story when we actually brought the printer back.
Instead of receiving my approximately $450 back, I am now stuck with a Best Buy store credit that I never wanted and will have to figure out how to use at a store I never want to give another dollar to.
This entire experience was dishonest, frustrating, and unbelievably poor customer service. Best Buy had multiple opportunities to make this right and chose not to.
I would strongly recommend purchasing your electronics somewhere else, especially if you expect a company to actually stand behind the products and warranties they sell.
Always has items I'm looking for. Staff is great at listening to what you're looking for and helping you locate it. Friendly and professional!
Decent store and probably only one around for ages.
