Poor service and management. Multiple allegations of customers buying products that they either do not receive in the box or are proven to be fake, Specifically Apple products. Must be a worker swapping them out.

they sold me a “brand new” iphone 16 and instead of the iphone being there it was lead weights .. when i tried to return the phone with my receipt in hand and they wouldn’t take it back … the manager and supervisor weren’t helpful at all to resolve this issue, the manager called me a liar to my face. apparently this isn’t the first time something like this has happened according to facebook posts

So I started my day at the Greensboro location. I wanted to buy a phone for my mother in law, and since I have a pretty good size Best Buy account, I decided to stop by my local store. Walked right in with my family, and asked to see the iPhone 16e. I was helped by Verizon associate, I didn’t catch her name, but I very much remember the interaction. I stated that I wanted to buy the phone outright, to take it home to switch with the old iPhone 7e my MIL had. Saying that I didn’t want to drag her all the way to a the store, or even have to sit at Verizon all day when I could just buy the phone out right and do everything from the comfort of our own home. The associate at the Greensboro store told me no multiple times, saying I had to purchase it on the plan, and we had to activate it in store blah blah blah. Then when I went to talk to my wife about how ridiculous that was, the same associate started butting into my conversation from a whole other aisle away hahaha. I was really upset after this interaction. While in the car with my wife, I said “hey let’s just go to the Best Buy in Burlington, and see if they say the same thing” Boy am I glad we did 180 degrees a different experience. This is where the 5 star review comes in. As soon as we walked in the door, Caleb greeted us right off the bat! This man was as live as he possibly could be!! I told him what I wanted to do, and right off the back he started looking up his inventory! After he found us the right phone, he walked us to all the accessories, helped us find the right stuff, then walked me all the way over to the other side of the store to get some things for the new iPad I had ordered!!! This guy went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience. Sorry, the best experience! As he said, this isn’t ok buy, this isn’t “good enough buy” no sir, this is “BEST BUY” So thank you Burlington Best Buy, and especially thank you to Caleb. You turned our whole opinion on our experience with Best Buy around. I hope the Greensboro location can take some pointers!
