1 Star – Extremely Unprofessional Installation Experience
We went to Best Buy (Concord Mills NC) ahead of time to show the team the exact equipment we wanted installed in our vehicle so we could ensure we had everything we needed and verify the installation cost before scheduling an appointment.
When we arrived for our installation appointment, the installer immediately started listing new charges that had never been discussed. When we questioned this, he offered no help and simply said, “I’m not the manager.” I then asked to speak with the manager.
The manager came over, reviewed the situation, and agreed to meet us halfway on the unexpected charges, so we agreed to proceed with the installation.
After having our vehicle for almost two hours, the installer called and said he was stopping the installation due to “liability” concerns with our radio. He claimed the radio was staying on even though there was no power to it and said all he did was disconnect the battery and nothing else. Yet there was a mysterious cut red wire sticking out from behind the radio now.
However, when we inspected the vehicle, several things were clearly changed or disconnected (he removed the entire passenger seat, the previous amp, the previous sun, and who knows what else we couldn't see. Despite this, the installer attempted to have me sign paperwork stating that he had done nothing to the vehicle. I refused and asked him to accurately document the work that had actually been performed, including removing the seat and removing the amplifier, etc.
To make matters worse, this vehicle belongs to my 16-year-old son. His system was working before this appointment, and now it has multiple issues that were not present previously, including non functioning steering wheel controls, this mysterious red wire, and a sparking amp that he had to remove from the vehicle for safety reasons. We now have to take the vehicle to another company and pay them to repair the problems and install the new amplifier and subwoofer.
This was one of the most unprofessional service experiences I have ever encountered. The lack of transparency, accountability, and basic customer service was extremely disappointing.
I would strongly recommend avoiding this location for installation services.
No integrity. Bought this new tv. Took it out of the box and it looked like this when plugged up. Called customer service and they said sorry about your luck. This has happened twice to me in 5 years from best buy. Do not let them deliver it. Have them plug it up in the store.

There is not enough employees to give a satisfactory customer experience. I have been to this location at least 20 times. Have bought thousands of dollars of merchandise. Their employees are hard to find, and recently so unhelpful. The squad is a different situation. They are amazing and once to get a hold of them, they resolve your issues quickly.
