I visited the Skibo Road Best Buy on June 29 around 2 p.m. looking for my first laptop for coding and cybersecurity with a budget of about $600. Several associates spent around 30 minutes helping me compare options. They never pressured me into spending more and instead focused on finding the best computer for what I actually needed. One associate even explained how this laptop would be a great starting point for cybersecurity and that I could upgrade in a few years as my needs grew. Adam is the only name I remember because of his name tag, but the entire team was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and kind. I hope management can recognize everyone who helped me that afternoon because they made what could have been an overwhelming purchase a genuinely great experience.
TV arrived damaged and they refused to take it back
Edit: we purchased the tv through amazon and it was damaged out of the box. Black lady with long straight hair stating she was one of the supervisors blamed the damage on me and said they could only recycle it or make me keep it. (I'm white, i also watched her help out another black customer no questions asked while i was on the phone with amazon). Then was told by bestbuy support through amazon help to return it to the very same Best Buy despite the lady swearing up and down they couldn't do it there... racism lol
I was first to arrive awaiting a Pokémon restock as they do on certain days. A person drove by me and said an employee had came out and told them they did not receive any so that they would not stand in line as it was very hot outside. Very thoughtful of that employee however people can be liars ofcourse so I wanted to ask an employee myself. An employee had walked up and I kindly asked him if he could check, he told me they were not allowed to say. I explained to him it was for the purpose of not standing another hour for no reason. He still said no, pretty much this Best Buy needs to be better at either sticking to the rules and not telling people or by not making exceptions to certain individuals. Double standards.
