I purchased a laptop from the Moorehead City Best Buy. I immediately set up an appointment with the Geek Squad to them to transfer my files and set up my new laptop, which was scheduled for 12/30 at 12:20 pm. When setting up this appointment I asked how long it would take for the laptop top to be set up, I was told it would depend on the amount of data & files needing to be transferred. I told the person I would be driving over an hour, I was assured the transfer would be completed the same day I dropped it off. We'll that turned out to be completely false. When I arrived at Best Buy, Matt at the Geek Squad counter started processing paperwork to have my data & files transferred, I asked he what time would the transfer be done, he told me I tomorrow (12/31). I told him that isn't what I was told when I made the appointment and that I drove over an hour... Matt could have cared less, he never even said he was sorry. I can't even say he offered poor customer service because he offered absolutely none. Before I left the store, I called my local Staples, to inquire about their data transfer, they are $40 less than Best Buy and when dropping off my laptops today, the computer guy was personable and actually was customer oriented.
I would never recommend the Best Buy Geek Squad in Moorehead City, NC. The only recommendation I would make is management send Matt to customer service training.

I was looking for a cinema sound bar/ surround system...had an idea what I wanted ...went to the Jacksonville...zero help..was ignored...drove to Morehead and a young man named Carl helped me on Christmas eve...yes it was after6pm and he took his time and answered all my questions...if he didn't know he found out....sonos arc ultra with the era300s for the win...Thank you Carl..don't judge people by how they look at the end of the day after work....Jacksonville sure did..never going back there
Every time I come here it's terrible, don't have things that say are in stock, and can't seem to find em, find a door buster that's fully stocked and now they can't find it., and they never responded to me from my previous complaint to customer service when they wouldn't assist me with a computer part.
