Today at the checkout, as I was leaving the store, I wanted to pay for a TV stand. I waited in line for a long time. Out of three registers, one was out of service, one was occupied with a return, and only one was processing payments.
When it was finally my turn, a girl approached the area designated for order pickups, which was otherwise empty, and asked about a delivery. The cashier, who was supposed to process my payment, left her station to assist with the delivery inquiry, even though I was next in line.
I was in a hurry and politely asked her to check me out first, but she responded rudely, laughed at me, and deliberately delayed my transaction. I find this unfair, and such behavior from a cashier is unpleasant for customers.
To improve service quality, I would recommend that employees be more attentive to customers and treat them with greater respect.
This happened at a Best Buy store.
