The Best Buy website says they recycle TV's for free, but when I arrived at customer service, the employee behind the counter told me he needed $35 to recycle my TV for free. So my TV went to the landfill instead, because it's better for the environment that way, right Best Buy?

Hello there, Kyle!
Thank you for taking the time to reach out on Google with a review. We definitely understand the importance of recycling and would note that our website states TVs of a certain size would require a recycling fee: https://bby.me/43nxbq. I would have given one star but in the end it all worked out. I bought a TV and was told I had to wait about three weeks for someone to come out and install the TV and the mounting bracket. The day before I got a text saying I had to schedule an appointment. When I called I was told they didn't have the TV even though it was in the store when I purchased it, and had to wait another three weeks. I had to drive an hour to the store (because they don't take calls there) to speak with a manager. I spoke to Aubrey Port and he was awesome. Right away he said the TV was there and he would find someone to come out and install it the NEXT day. He said he would call me when he had a time window, he texted me throughout the day to update me and sure enough Jared came all the way from Hendersonville to Bryson City to do the installation. He was excellent, took his time to explain everything to us, set up our Apple TV, cleaned up after himself and was friendly and professional. I was very impressed how they both handled what could have been a really bad experience.
Would give less if it were possible.
Customer service has gone the way of the Dodo.

Won't be back. Went in to get a new laptop. An employe was standing by the, talking to another guy about video games. When he final noticed I needed help and decided to stop chit chatting, asked if I needed help, he said he couldn't help me he was a warehouse employe but would call some one. Next guy came pretty quick, but when I asked him a question about the laptop I was looking at he looked at me like I was stupid and said, "Gee I don't know man, you;d have to google it." I just said I'd buy it clearly agervated and outraged that a so called employee couldn't anser a simple question and told me to "Google it" He ended up stnading their looking confused and asked if we needed anymore help after two mintues of just standing there.
Then when we went up tot he check out and told the guy at the register about it he ignored us and asked if he could help us with anything. Asked him about laptop bags for the size since they didn't have them on the wall, and it being a technology store you'd figure they had more then five laptop cases. He's respone, "Um, I don't know, I guess that's all we have."
The workers don't know anything, and best buy claims to be the best at what they do. Would have gotten more advise from Walmart, and everone knows their terrible. Worst experiance and I won't be back.
