This evening (6.13.25) I came in to pick up an Amazon order. The two checkout lines and the pickup line were both multiple people deep, with just two people working all three. Jalen, who was one of those two employees, was AMAZING. The customers in each line were impatient, and some in the pickup line started to verbally berate him. It seems they don't understand that 1. Customer service employees can't be in every role at once and 2. Customer service employees are actual people. Jalen did way better than I ever could have in how he responded. He kept his composure, was succinct as possible, he stayed polite through all of it. I was glad that help from other staff members eventually came up, and that he was the employee to help me. He was apologetic but he had no reason to be. It isn't his fault that staffing and coverage can be iffy at times, and he didn't deserve to be spoken to that way by shoppers. Jalen, you seriously rock. Thank you for being so helpful today!!

Went in to check on an unlocked phone. No price posted on the phones I was interested in and none of the associates on the floor would stop to help! No service, no sale! I left.

Terrible experience with geek squad member Michael who not only showed up late but had no idea what he was doing .. he attempted to install in door speaker wire in an outside environment exposed to water. He was not knowledgeable and made no attempt to learn , not even Google . After being fold crawl space service he told me Best Buy doesn’t do that . He was NOT apologetic and lacked proper knowledge . In addition to bringing the wrong wire he didn’t bring enough . After wasting 2 hours he left $2000 worth of speakers on the ground and unpackaged . The next day he called again and told me to hurry up becuase he was giving me 15 minutes , after wasting 4 hours of my time the day before . The manager Rodney wright not only defended his team member but did not apologize and told me to pick up my product that was not delivered after Michael hung up on me . They only have 3 members on install 1 on medical leave, one that is new and 1 that is not knowledgeable. The manager told me I could only pick up my stuff or be refunded . It’s not my fault they don’t have qualified staff . His employee even complained to me about only making 18 dollars per hour . That is NOT my business . The installer is young but to be treated badly by a manager is worse . Keep in mind unshielded wire near water can be fatal and he asked me why was I upset ? I’m highly disappointed and hope that senior leadership reads this . I’m a business lender and a Best Buy consumer over 30 years . Rodney Wright should be reprimanded
