Sent my MacBook to Apple for new battery. They told me the keyboard was broken, it’s not but they would not replace the battery without fixing the keyboard, over $700. Apple suggested BestBuy. Went to BestBuy and was told the laptop was "vintage" and they didn't want to look at it. The Geek Squad person kept trying to tell me he couldn't help without even looking at the laptop. When pressed he finally took a look & came back saying they could replace the battery for $750! He clearly was not interested in helping. A woman at BestBuy heard this and told me to try uBreakiFix in Brick, NJ. I went there immediately. They came back with an estimate of under $300 to replace the battery. 3 days later, my computer is back with a new battery. I couldn't be happier with uBreakiFix and will definitely be back there if I have any future computer issues. I'll never give the Geek Squad another try.
I recently purchased a 75-inch TV from this Best Buy location. John and Frank assisted me during the process—both were friendly, but there’s definitely room for improvement when it comes to customer service, especially in clearly explaining details about the TV and the purchase overall.
That said, I want to give special recognition to John, the manager, who was absolutely great and very helpful—kudos to him for stepping in and making a positive impact.
Would I return? For other items, yes. But for a TV purchase, I would likely look elsewhere due to the lack of clear communication during this experience.
