So, I walk in to this store and ask the first guy I see if he could check how much money there was in a gift card I had. He does and tells me the amount. When I decided what I wanted, I asked another guy to help me get it. He did. At the register, a very young guy says the gift card doesn't work. I asked him to check again. He says it's still doesn't work. I was like ok, what can we do to solve this? The other guy just checked and it works. He said nothing. I was like, can we try at the register he used to check it? He was like no. I said ok, what's the solution? He said for me to pay in full. I almost laughed thinking it was a joke. It was not. He could've tried the other register, he could've tried entering it manually, he could've asked someone else if there was a way to use the card.. but that was his answer! 😂. Some people just hate their jobs, he 100% looked like he did, and don't even try to hide it. Good customer service in general, but what's the point if you can't actually get help when you need it at checkout.. Btw, I tried it online and it worked.
I am incredibly frustrated with my experience regarding a Starlink installation I attempted to schedule through Best Buy. What should have been a straightforward service appointment turned into a total waste of time and a masterclass in poor customer service.
First, the technician arrived for the initial appointment but was unable to complete the job because they didn't have the necessary long ladder. I was assured that someone from Best Buy would contact me to reschedule. No one ever called.
After waiting and hearing nothing, I had to take the initiative to call Best Buy myself to explain the situation and schedule a follow-up appointment. I specifically detailed what had happened during the first visit to ensure the next technician would be prepared.
When the day of the second appointment finally arrived, no one showed up. No call, no email, no notification—just a complete no-show.
Frustrated, I eventually went into a physical Best Buy store to demand an explanation as to why I was forced to follow up multiple times for such a simple request. To my shock, I was informed that they no longer offer installation services in New Jersey at all.
It is absolutely ridiculous that Best Buy would charge me for a service they seemingly have no intention of providing. I have wasted hours of my time chasing a service that wasn't even available to me. I strongly advise against booking any third-party services through Best Buy; their communication is non-existent, and their internal coordination is completely broken.
Man there's no one that works in this place that can explain anything to you about stereo components, they just have no knowledge of it.. Or if they did work the people put me with the wrong guy..
Just bought brand new Google Pixel 10a, hardly took 5 minutes for completing the purchase.. best prices for Android Phones of different brands, Bestbuy is the place to make a purchase ...
