Went to purchase an Apple Pencil. They didn't have them available on the floor so an Associate asked me what gen iPad I have. I wasn't sure so we checked in my settings together. Apparently it's a "standard iPad". Fine. He brings me back my pencil and when I go to use it, the charging cable is incompatible not only with my iPad but with all my USB-C chargers. I figured it was a simple mix up, I drive to the store to exchange it. I confirmed with two associates, both pretty young, THREE times-- is this the Pencil compatible with a USB-C charger, the one where the tip in the back doesn't come completely off but rather moves in place to reveal somewhere to plug a USB-C charger in. They confirm yes EVERY SINGLE TIME. Come to find out they literally gave me the exact same pencil AGAIN. Fine, you work for BestBuy and not Apple so I don't expect you to know the minutia of different iPad generations. You're telling me you work at a technology supply store and don't know the difference between the old Apple lightning cables and a basic USB-C??????????? Unbelievable, now I have to make my 3rd trip to the store. I should be getting compensated for my time and gas I've wasted on getting a basic product.
