I’ve been a customer for over 20 years, but since COVID, it’s been impossible to call the store. When I visit, I often see 10-15 employees standing around doing nothing. I asked a manager why no one answers the phone despite so many people just standing there. When I finally got help in the computer section, I realized I knew more than the employee assisting me. Best Buy seems to be going downhill. In other reviews, the owner suggests reaching out via social media, but why not just answer the phone? I tried Instagram as suggested, but unsurprisingly, there was no reply. This is exactly why the stores are closing. From my purchases alone, Best Buy has lost over $1,000 in two years, not including previous years. I keep returning, hoping things have changed, but I called today and yesterday and still couldn’t reach the store—calls were rerouted to India. 1st: my review $ 1000.00 was error over 6000$ needed new appliances. and laptop and computers 2nd: Your response, “The idea is to alleviate the store from the phones,” is unacceptable. When a customer walks into the store and sees 10–12 workers doing NOTHING, they can answer the phones.Customer service should come from the source — not a third party. To the owner (no name listed): look at other customer reviews — they all have the same complaint. Listen to what your customers are saying. It's obvious, with Best Buy shutting down stores, you would think the company would actually start listening to its customers. If I can call ShopRite and speak to a real person, there's no reasonable excuse why Best Buy can’t do the same. Look at the years when you did answer phones versus the years you didn’t — what was the sales difference? How many stores were open then versus now? Post your answer publicly so other reviewers can see your response.
