​If you want a masterclass in how to completely botch a major product launch, look no further than the Best Buy in Mount Laurel. Today was supposed to be the much-anticipated in-store premiere of Googlebooks, and the marketing collateral was plastered everywhere, screaming for attention. But walk through those front doors, and you’re immediately greeted by the usual institutional incompetence that plagues this location. ​I’m a die-hard fan and long-time proponent of the Google ecosystem, so I was genuinely excited to check out the hardware. But let's be realistic: when you are shopping for a laptop device—an investment likely to have four times the life expectancy of a smartphone—how on earth does management expect customers to drop a thousand dollars without any opportunity to actually touch, feel, and demo the machine? ​Naturally, the staff stationed at the front door to greet customers looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language when I asked where the Googlebook display area was. Zero product awareness, zero briefing, and zero clue. After wandering around, they finally pointed me toward an employee with a pulse who had a bit more information, only to deliver the sad reality: he could maybe drag one box out from the back, but the actual display wouldn't be set up until Thursday. What is the point of a launch day if the product isn't even out on the floor? ​Unfortunately, this total failure is entirely on brand for this location and their chronic management and staffing issues. I've been burned by them before—like the time I completed a Buy Online, Pickup In Store (BOPIS) order, received the official notification that it was ready, drove all the way there, and was told a mere 30 minutes before closing that my item actually wasn't available. ​Mount Laurel management clearly cannot run a functional retail floor, train their staff, or execute a corporate product rollout to save their lives. Avoid the headache, skip this disorganized mess, and buy somewhere you aren't forced to deal with clueless greeters and phantom displays.

I brought my pc to get worked on; I knew my ssd was failing so I asked them if I can get it back and get a new ssd put in. I waited a week no one ever called; they told me it was ready. When I went to pickup my pc, they told me they recycled the ssd; when I specifically told them I wanted it back. I could have gotten a refund at Amazon for $188; instead they give me a $60 in store credit. I didn’t want anything in store aside from Pokemon cards. I saw a female manager go to the back and get a etb for a guy and I waited a good 10 minutes so I can explain to her what happened and how I would like a etb. She told me it was ordered for him since he had an accident with his son and another person. But she was also exchanging information for when he can come back for more etb ect. I lost out on money for a product I could have returned to Amazon and didn’t have the best experience. They never have Pokemon cards cause all the scalpers in this area gets it all and I work early in the morning mom-sat. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
