Do they always say "...you're being recorded..." on the PA?
Either way, last time I was there was yesterday; 11-29-24, to get my iPhone SE 3rd Gen, "Serviced." Last time on 11-19-24, the guys at the "Geek Squad," would explain to me, it's $100 on top of the maxed out "Apple Care," I have, accidental, lost, theft, etc.
Paraphrasing here; it's kinda like insurance. $100, and Apple ships the phone here, in 1-2 days it's here, and we collect your old phone. This was of course after they "tried," to fix my phone by taking it to the back, and at one point asking me to wipe everything, I'd agree, cause iCloud Backups, etc. Either way, they couldn't "fix it," "it's not letting me," hence the kinda like insurance for a "new phone." I'd return on 11-29-24, and while another guy would tell me the same thing, later another guy would come out and say something along the lines of, Apple wants to see the iPhone...Apple store at "American Dream."
At minimum I've been without a working iPhone for 10 days, and why couldn't the guy on the first visit on 11-19-24 just tell me the apple wants to see the iPhone thing. Cause I would have been able to resolve my problem much sooner. While their customer support may have seemed reasonable, at the end of the day inaccuracies are in inaccuracies, too much time was wasted coming here. Not to mention the potentially shady stuff that was going on in their parking lot.
Also why did the "Verizon lady," give "Best Buy," a shout out, "...you don't want to go to 'Best Buy,'"
