Staff there is absolutely terrible. I went to buy a phone today (at least 1000 dollars purchase) but I was ignored for more than 30 minutes. I asked multiple employees to help me and I was ignored. Me and my sister were just standing there watching them pretend to be busy when the store was almost empty. Staff just standing talking to each other, laughing and socializing like it's friends gathering not a business. This is a joke. A gentleman was doing inventory (I think) I approach him and asked for help or if he can get me someone to help me. He was a bit busy and I'm not blaming him for being busy I'm blaming the other staff members who were standing there and doing nothing watching me with a smile on their face. Before I approach them I approached other two workers who completely ignored me and pretended like they didn't hear me. 10 minutes later he noticed me still not being helped, he was shocked and surprised and said "no one helped you yet?" I said no. Hey Ryan and he finally got a female employee who was standing there watching the whole time and pretending not to notice. I feel like she forced herself to come and help us. I asked her to speak to a manager she looked lost and confused but she finally let me speak to a manager. It was a female manger named Maclin I think. She was cold, didn't even apologize and made me feel like I was even overreacting even though I was respectful and calm. When I told her about what happened she said and I quote "oh, no one asked you if you need help?" Then she looked to her co worker and said "you didn't ask if he needed help?" She sounded like she didn't care at all and that she's not even willing to apologize. I said that I'll be taking my leave. I still purchased the phone and I did it online through the best buy app but the reason why I went to the store is that I needed the phone today. This individual who helped me is not fit to be a manager or even a supervisor. She had long braids. I was not that upset before talking to her but after I saw her cold dismissive reaction, I was furious. I decided to leave calmly and make a scene but this unacceptable. This the worst customer service I've ever seen. This happened on Best Buy, 2391 US-22, Union, NJ 07083 location.

Customer service was good,but policy is disappointing I had a good experience with the customer service staff at Best Buy- they were polite and professional. However, my overall experience was very disappointing. I purchased a brand-new Samsung Ultra for $1,045, and the phone ended up not working properly. Since it was defective, I had no choice but to return. What's frustrating is that I was still charge a $45 restocking fee, even though the phone was faulty and not due to anything I did. Paying out of pocket for defective product doesn't sit right with me, especially after spending over $1000. Because of this policy, I wouldn't recommend shopping here for expensive electronics. Good staff, but policies like this make the experience unfair to customers.
