I didn’t feel comfortable visiting this Best Buy. I was trying to buy something, and a Best Buy employee wearing a mask kicked my son out and threatened him because he was complaining about a weird business practice they do with best buy credit card opt-ins (they tell people to go to the store as an option to cancel cards but they actually dont do it there). The “supervisor” Jay (not sure if that was his actual name) was also condescending and not helpful. This is consistent with the negative reviews and pretty sure most 5 star reviews are for the afternoon shifts, paid reviews, or AI. I know, it sounds strange but I guess they are so bad they hire masked people now
Last week of February 2026 I bought a Samsung refrigerator.
While I was doing business with the sales person I explained to him several times the condition of the old refrigerator that was supposed to be haul away and also explained to the sales person the distance from the kitchen sink to the refrigerator.
Everything was accepted and was written in the contract.
Best Buy store in Union NJ delivered the refrigerator on Friday but they did not want to take the old refrigerator.
The excuse was that they do not want to damage the other items in the truck.and the people coming next day to do the water line installation will take care of the HAUL AWAY
Next day came and the water line installer came and they didn't have water tubing and / or any supplies for the installation so they did not do the job.
And they did not want to take the old refrigerator.
I was told that they have nothing to do with the store
They are just a third party installers.
So since they did not want to do what i was promised i start the process to return the refrigerator.
BEST BUY Almost 2 weeks to take the item away.
I was told by several friends not to buy there because they have similar BAD EXPERIENCES.
I did not believe my friends.
And this is what I got for not believing what the reviews and my friends said.
I could sue them for breaking the contract. I had everything in writing.
But I just will never come back to this store.
Good customer service. Staff went the extra mile to ensure quality service.
