Needed a specific video adapter for an install I was fixing for a venue on the strip. I called Best Buy to see if they had one, but apparent they now use an AI answering service.
It wasn’t able to understand my question and I was eventually able to get it to transfer me to another AI (An Indian) at a call center in India who wasn’t able to see if they had any of these adapters in stock or transfer me to an employee in the store.
I had to drive 20 minutes from the strip to Best Buy, and the employee at the door was able to tell me immediately that they don’t carry those adapters.
Like what the hell. Why can’t I just be able to speak to someone in the building. Who is this service for? I don’t see how any customer benefits from this system
Employees were great and really helpful once in the store!
Today is february 10 dang near valentines day and the amount of hate and discrimination a worker named Valerie at this 2050 N Rainbow Blvd best buy showed me today was absurd. She tried denying me service because she thought the person behind me was my family member?? Just because we were both people of color. It was 1 item per person btw. Never coming back to this Best Buy 👎 so heartbroken and sad that people like Valerie choose hate over love 💔

Purchased a Yale Lock on 1/23/2026, didn’t fit my door so attempted to return on 2/7/2026, receipt advise 15 days from the date of purchase. Manager Dave advised me I’m outside the window of return and couldn’t, I showed Dave a google date calculator showing today 2/7/26 was the 15th day and he advised me today was the 16th day and doesn’t care what “google shows” because he knows how to count. Talked with a different employee and got the refund processed thankfully because they knew how to calculate days correctly but I really don’t know what Dave is doing as a manager, he was more argumentative than helpful even when facts & math proved I was within the return period per Best Buy policy guidelines.
