I’ve been a Best Buy customer for years, but this experience completely changed my view of the company.
Best Buy hides behind confusing and inconsistently applied return policies, then stonewalls customers when issues arise. I was bounced between store staff, corporate support, and “executive resolution” with no one taking real ownership or offering a reasonable solution. Each interaction felt scripted, dismissive, and designed to exhaust the customer rather than help them.
What’s most frustrating is the lack of accountability. Policies are selectively interpreted, explanations change depending on who you speak to, and once they decide to say no, meaningful conversation stops. Escalations lead nowhere. Transparency and basic customer respect are clearly not priorities.
For a company of this size, the customer care experience is shockingly poor. If something goes wrong with your purchase, be prepared for a long, frustrating process with little to no resolution.
I would strongly caution anyone buying higher priced items here. Once Best Buy has your money, you are largely on your own.
Worst customer service I have ever received from a major retail chain. I purchased an expensive television from Best Buy and it was delivered to my home missing some parts. I went to Best Buy to try to get the missing parts and their solution was to sell me a kit to replace the missing parts. The salesperson in the television department was very rude and could clearly care less about the problem. I then wanted to return the item but the person at the customer service desk said he couldn’t return the item for 24 to 48 hours. This is unacceptable as my time is very valuable and I work quite a bit so making time for them to pick up the item is very difficult. I have purchased a lot of items from this store in the past including an Apple laptop for Christmas recently. I will NEVER purchase another thing from this store ever again. Horrible customer service.

Called for a ps5 controller just to see if they had it. Yes they did, wanted me to pay right then so I could pick it up. Said no I have cash just throw it at a register and I will be there in ten minutes. Would not leave me alone about paying for it right now on website. Absolute joke. Never again.
Went in looking for a few upgrades to my PC with a couple of questions. The employee that helped me, Mateo, was knowledgeable, quick, and very helpful. Definitely knew his stuff and was nothing but nice all the way through.
