I was trying to buy a hard drive and checked online to find it. The only store that had it in stock was this one. I attempted to place the order online for in-store pickup, but I couldn’t find my Best Buy card. So, I decided to drive to the store from Yonkers.
When I arrived, I waited about 30 minutes in line to speak with an employee. When it was finally my turn, she asked me to wait while she assisted another customer and retrieved the key to access the hard drive. After finishing with the other customer, she saw me standing by the counter and asked if someone was helping me. I reminded her that she was supposed to get the key for the hard drive.
She checked around and informed me that they didn’t have the hard drive I was looking for. I explained that the website showed the store had several in stock. She then directed me downstairs to the warehouse. Once there, I spoke with a very polite and helpful employee who confirmed they didn’t have the item.
The takeaway? Don’t always trust the online inventory system—items may be out of stock even if the website says otherwise.

BUYER BEWARD HORRIBLE ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SCAMMING AGENTS. I would give them a zero if I could. The customer service is a SCAM. I had placed an order and was informed that it would be still arriving despite UPS showing it was not even received and so I contacted back four time, each agent lied to me and told me it was coming then I had to finally call again, speak to the supervisor and after waiting for another week like they requested was told the package was lost and I had to replace the order. I was issued a $30 gift card for the inconvenience, given a fund ID and confirmed that it would be delivered via mail, I asked for a virtual one but they said it wouldn't be possible. So then it was confirmed it would be sent and received in 15 days. 15 days pass and I reach out to see the status of the gift card now im being told that the fund ID is incorrect, the agent never made notes about the gift card and they can not issue it unless the item was received damage. This is absolutely ridiculous. Very Disappointed and these agents are all LIARS. Because I have contacted multiple times for this issue. What is happening now that they say something else. Also, I spoke to supervisors for this gift card being issues and he gave me the fund ID number, I confirmed it twice, so what he LIED about the number. Then I get told by the supervisor I just spoke to Pavin that he sees it in the system but it got denied. Never was I communicated anything. And then in the end he says he can not do anything for me and that they will be better NEXT TIME. What the hell? So you acknowledge you were horrible the first time and expect a next time. This is super disappointing. I honestly feel like this is a scam now because why do they keep lying every time I speak to them and giving me a different information.
