BestBuy really ought to be renamed WORST BUY. They should be ashamed of their disgraceful customer service! I am a small landlord, I own 2 multiple-family houses in Brooklyn. I have bought DOZENS of major appliances from BB over the years. NEVER AGAIN!! Last month I bought a nice-looking Frigidaire gas oven from the Atlantic Station BestBuy & I paid for & scheduled the installation. BestBuy never showed up--they did not even call or notify me, just a no-show. When I called, BestBuy said they do not do gas appliance installs. So I rescheduled the delivery and had my boiler plumber do the installation a few days later. But first I called BB and specifically asked them if they'd make an exception in their return policy (normally a mere 14 days) since this whole installation mess had been their fault in the first place. It took a 2+ hour phone call, but they finally agreed to do a 30-day return on the gas oven. So when this oven proved faulty just 3 weeks after delivery--there was an explosion and strong smell of gas--I called Best Buy to return it ... and they refused. I reminded them they'd assured me of a 30-day return window b/c it was BB who stood me up on the install--no beans. BB records their phone conversations, so I gave them the exact date & time of the call for them to retrieve & listen to the recorded call. They refused even to listen to the phone conversation. WorstBuy has zero concept of customer service, and of safety. My tenants could have died! I am speaking with my lawyer about suing them.
