I recently purchased a 55-inch LG OLED television from Best Buy, taking advantage of an 'open box' deal that reduced the price from $1,299.99 to $835. After verifying the return policy with the store manager, I opted for delivery to my home the following day. Unfortunately, upon arrival, I discovered that the package did not include a remote control. When I visited the store to request a remote, the manager stated that he could not provide an LG remote but offered to sell me a universal remote for $35. I left the store extremely dissatisfied. I contacted the corporate office, explained the situation, and they promptly confirmed that an LG remote would be mailed to me at no cost, while apologizing for the actions of the Elmira/Horseheads manager. I strongly believe that the manager intentionally provided a different boxed TV with the missing remote, as the original label I read in the store indicated 'products missing - None.' I consider the manager's actions to be unethical.
