What's the point of buying from brick and mortar if the service worker isn't more helpful than a computer running a script?
Bought myself a record player for my birthday. Ended up going out of town to celebrate and when I went to pick it up exactly one week after ordering it, they told me they had "canceled" the order but I could still purchase it. For twice the amount I had already purchased it for online. This was less than 10 hours after the order automatically canceled at midnight the night before. Nothing they could do, it just cost $200 instead of $100 now.
This is why brick and mortar is dying: terrible customer service. If you're just going to act like a robot who can't make the situation right, why wouldn't I just skip the trip and buy from cursed Amazon? Which is what I ended up doing. They missed out on the sale and have to pay to ship the unit back, and I have ended up spending the same amount of money but have to wait another week to listen to my records. Great job, I'll never step foot in your store again. 👍
This review is specifically about my experience with the Geek Squad at this location. Would NOT recommend based on my experience!
Shorter story: They were apathetic, gave me wrong information about how my phone was beyond repair, and nearly convinced me to spend $800+ to replace my old phone which was later totally and perfectly repaired in less than 30 mins and for less than $100 by another local repair shop.
Longer story: I clumsily dropped my iPhone and as a result, the home button wouldn’t work (everything else seemed fine). Factory resetting the device did not fix the issue. So the following day I set up an appointment with someone from the Geek Squad at this location. The young man working the desk just told me without even examining my phone that there was no point in trying to save my phone or try to send it to Apple for a fix because they’d just tell me to replace it. And then he gave me all this technical jargon about the circuits being damaged beyond repair and that my only option was to buy a new phone. I was pretty bummed that I might have to spend $800-$900 on a new iPhone. But I was highly skeptical because I sensed this employee just wasn’t in the mood to help seriously. So I went to another repair place and within 20 minutes, got my phone working perfectly, home button and all - under 100 bucks. The guy at this other repair place even told me first thing when I walked up that “this is a very common problem and can be fixed very easily.”
So yeah, not a great experience with Geek Squad unfortunately, though it pains me to write negative reviews (but hopefully will also save others in the same situation as me save money).
P.S. I don’t fault the employee. Likely not getting incentivized enough to care. Best Buy, step up your game!

We went there to buy a Sony TV. The sales associate was knowledgeable about the Sony TV. He was able to answer our questions to our satisfaction. We are pleased with our purchase. Good customer service!
Keep charging me for something I didn't buy.
