I’m back for the second week in a row writing another well earned 1 star review. Had to use my other email, but at this point they absolutely deserved another 1 star review. I bought a 75’ Hisense LEMON October 22nd.
The LEMON was delivered November 5th. Long story short (you can go back to the 1 star review from Chris W if you want the details) the LEMON did not work. BEST BUY scheduled to pick it up 11/13. They did not come. I re-scheduled for the 19th. They did not come again.
So being the brainiac (sarcasm) I am, I thought “hmmm I’ll just order the new TV and have them pick up the LEMON when they drop off the new TV that is hopefully not a LEMON too.”
Well, that plan was about as productive and useful as a toothache. They get here to deliver the new TV and I ask if they were taking the old one. They said no, and that another team was doing pick ups. I call to confirm and they say they have nothing scheduled for me. This is a LIE. Right in my app the date, time and TV is confirmed.
So at this point I’ve taken off 4 days of work 11/5, 11/13, 11/19 and today 11/26 to deal with this. Who would be happy with this customer service?
Best Buy does not deserve my business or yours! After almost 10 years of being a card holder I am absolutely positively closing out my account with them once this is all settled. Closing out is worth the couple point hit to my credit score at this point.
This big 75’ LEMON has been sitting in the family room since 11/13 waiting to be picked up. No one is allowed in there because I’m sure if something happens to the LEMON Best Buy will act funny about the return.
I know this is one of the only places to purchase electronics in the area, but I think everyone should look elsewhere whenever they can!
I don’t care what the owners response is to this review! This is absolutely ridiculous and you guys need to be ashamed of how you do business. I only say that because not a single one of them is too concerned with the fact that I had to use 4 going on 5 of my days off on this issue.

Ordered for pickup. Order was never ready for pickup.
I had a pickup here and the way I was treated was honestly unbelievable. When their system glitched, the employees instantly fell apart — no one knew what they were doing, they gave me attitude instead of answers, and acted like the problem was somehow my fault. Instead of helping, they stalled, talked in circles, and made the whole situation way more stressful than it had any right to be. The lack of professionalism and basic respect was shocking. This was hands-down one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had anywhere, and it says a lot about how badly this location is being run. If this is how they handle a simple pickup, I can’t imagine what else goes wrong here.
Bought a 75’ Hisense TV October 22nd. The day before the delivery November 5th I noticed that I put in the address up the street instead of mine, so I changed it. They pushed the date out another 8 days which seemed absolutely ridiculous, but I guess I did change the address by 500 feet and god forbid they do a little problem solving. I would totally understand if I changed the delivery to Binghamton, but they said there was nothing they could do. Yeah okay. So, there’s one day I had to take off from work that didn’t amount to anything.
I finally get the TV November 13th (another day I had to take off). I didn’t get a chance to “watch” it until the 16th. I turn it on and it turns off. The duration varies from 5 minutes to an hour, but it always cuts off at some point. I rinse and repeat this cycle for another 2 days until I’m finally fed up with it and request a return.
They schedule my return pick up for today 11/19 (another day I took off from work). They don’t show up and when I call customer service they said it was because I didn’t answer a phone earlier in the day. Mind you the same delivery driver (it says in the app who is delivering) did not call me last week when he dropped the LEMON off so why was that a make it or break it factor today?
Also, no where on the prep list BEST BUY gives you does it say to answer the phone when they are 15 minutes away or they will cancel the order. It says to make sure someone 18+ is here upon arrival!
So, now I’ve taken off 3 days (November 5th/13th/19th) of work for 1 LEMON of a TV. Now it looks like I’ll have to take off a 4th and maybe even a 5th day so they can maybe possibly manage to come pick up this LEMON and then drop me off the new TV I ordered (Hopefully not a LEMON).
It has been a serious debacle on BEST BUYS part and once this situation is resolved I will be closing my account with them after almost 10 years and thousands of dollars in unnecessary purchases.
This was my first credit card after graduating college and up until now I have been pretty happy with the customer service department. With that said the last couple of weeks have made it clear to me that closing out my account is worth the hit on my credit score. I’ve spent over 5hrs on the phone with them for them to tell me there is nothing they can do about their mess up’s. I see no way in which this gets better so I’ll just cut ties now.
No one should be happy after taking off 3 days to deal with 1 TV that DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY.
They do not deserve my business and they do not deserve yours. DO BETTER BEST BUY!
Oh yeah, I don’t want to forget!
I also ordered a Samsung tablet 2 weeks ago that had to be returned last week because the screen was broken as soon as I turned it on. 2 LEMONS in 2 weeks + 5/6hrs on the phone is crazy work.
