I’ve been a Best Buy customer for years, but this experience completely changed my view of the company.
Best Buy hides behind confusing and inconsistently applied return policies, then stonewalls customers when issues arise. I was bounced between store staff, corporate support, and “executive resolution” with no one taking real ownership or offering a reasonable solution. Each interaction felt scripted, dismissive, and designed to exhaust the customer rather than help them.
What’s most frustrating is the lack of accountability. Policies are selectively interpreted, explanations change depending on who you speak to, and once they decide to say no, meaningful conversation stops. Escalations lead nowhere. Transparency and basic customer respect are clearly not priorities.
For a company of this size, the customer care experience is shockingly poor. If something goes wrong with your purchase, be prepared for a long, frustrating process with little to no resolution.
I would strongly caution anyone buying higher priced items here. Once Best Buy has your money, you are largely on your own.
The gentleman that helped us pick out a gaming monitor at this BestBuy was nothing short of amazing. Super knowledgeable and really connected with my teenage son. He was patient, helped us weigh the pros and cons, and had such great energy. If only I had gotten his name… anyway, definitely will go back.
Best Buy is defrauding my online free business account.
They determined that they would create a business account under my personal email account causing emails that should be directed to my business email. I have made multiple phone calls requesting that Best Buy separate my business account from personal for proof of business expense verification but, they have refused to do do. Because best buy took it upon themselves to merge my business with my personal account over the phone, what should be directed to my business email is instead directed to my personal which means my personal email account will appear on my receipts making it appear that my business purchases are personal. Multiple times Best Buy representatives have abruptly ended the call upon my request to just delete my online accounts altogether due to a business/personal mix-up on the behalf of their representees. I then called again requesting the fake personal/business account be deleted at which point, I was finally given the number to primary care, whom stated they could delete the personal account where I would only have a online business account. I was told that this would take 48 hours to process, and that I should get a email to my business email instead of my personal email. that still has not happened now 4 days later. In fact, I have a Geek Squad account that was sent to my business email related to warranty purchases. Since talking to a so-called Primary Care representative, I noticed today that the Geek Squad business email, originally sent to my business account was sent to now my personal email under an erroneous name that is not of my real name. Best Buy should be aware that business should be separated from personal being a business itself, but they are breaking those rules for their own convenience it seems. My next complaint is already set in place with the New York Attorney General should this issue not be rectified by the next business day from today. I am requesting that Best Buy either create a legit Business Online account, or remove the merged personal/business allowing me to create a business account on my own, but also, my business Geek Squad account should be removed from personal account and re-directed back to my business account, and removed from my personal account, of which, was created and addressed to a name that is a fabricated name not my own, as the Geek Squad account is derived from a legitimate business purchase account attached to a Geek Squad warranty.
I will not be posting my business info through any type of social media, best buy. I am not here to increase your social media marking. Please remove the fraudulently business account that your representatives have created, Immediately.
