A friend of mine, Ezequiel, purchased an open-box ASUS TUF Gaming T15 laptop while in the U.S., with only the left charger included. The seller, who he believes was named Anthony, convinced him to buy this laptop, claiming it was cheaper and better than the new one he had initially selected.
When he returned home to Argentina, he found that the laptop was overheating due to non-functioning coolers. He contacted the Best Buy store where he purchased the laptop, but they did'nt give him any solution, just told him to take it back to the store (which is impossible since he's in Argentina). ASUS also refused to honor the warranty, as it was only valid in the U.S.
Now, he is trying to collect money to take the laptop to an ASUS-authorized service center in Argentina to have it repaired or replaced. Never buy an open box item!
