BEWARE of this store and best buy in general. Floor guys talked me into RGB model, went through hours of purchase planning and delivery and install and associated purchase... Awaited TV and the team brought the LED model, same make (Sony) but tricked my wife into thinking it the RGB model, only to put up and LED. The purchase I made for TV was 3200, the TV they delivered is $500-700 tv. I have other retailers you should go to on Long Island now, please check with me before considering Best Buy or the criminal situation at Best Buy Riverhead.
We needed a new TV and Erol was quite knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We walked out with an installation appointment the same week. Overall a good crew.
This Riverhead store seems to be interested in serving only a certain demographic of people. I’ll just leave that there. My son and I went into the store to purchase a television. There were far more employees than customers, and the parking lot only had three or four cars. We waited around, obviously looking for assistance, while several employees repeatedly walked right past us.
I asked one employee for help, but he basically brushed us off because he was stocking merchandise. Eventually, I found the employee who had been greeting customers at the front door. He told us that their queue was backed up and that he would try to send someone over to us within “a few minutes.”
In the meantime, my son and I walked back over to the TV section. Within a few seconds, my son found the exact television he had been looking for. Ironically, the moment my son started pulling the 55-inch TCL TV off the shelf, an employee suddenly appeared and was eager to assist us. Before that, no one seemed interested in helping us. They didn’t seem interested until they saw an opportunity to make a sales bonus.
I will most definitely avoid shopping at this store in the future.
