I had reserved a brand-new ROG XBOX Ally X which is a highly sought after item and quickly sells out from Best Buy and waited several weeks for pickup. When I arrived at this location for pick up, the associate brought out a box that had no plastic wrap and the seal was already cut open. He insisted the item was “new,” even though the packaging clearly showed otherwise. He continued to gaslight me even with those two facts I restated to him until
I asked him to open the box, and the device inside had visible fingerprints on the screen, confirming it had been used or returned. This was obviously an open-box unit being presented as new.
I ended up getting a refund, but the situation was extremely disappointing. Customers should not have to argue to avoid being handed a used product when they paid for a sealed new one. Best Buy needs to address how this store handles returns and open-box items so it doesn’t happen to someone else. I had to leave without the paid item I anticipated weeks for after being gaslighted by a Best Buy employee here

Disappointed with the service here. The staff seemed to judge customers based on appearance, which created an uncomfortable and unfair experience. On top of that, the wait was excessively long. Customer-service training is definitely needed.

Here is an entire situation, and trust me don’t go here if you have a last minute purchase. I went on Black Friday to purchase a laptop which was on deal with purchase plan over the period. After their sales reps kept insisting to apply for it, found it interesting. So long story short after comparing all features and laptops available went to ask them give me that financial options available, only to find out that they instantly declined my application. I didn’t had that much time nor I wanted to show my net worth with excellent credit score they might have ever came across. Also later I found out the finance options they were pitching me which supposedly interest free was total crap. Found an instant deal very next day with total 475$ saved. Do you research and go, don’t blindly fall for their tricks. You will definitely end up paying more.
