I unfortunately have to say I have a very disappointing time at bestbuy. As a lover of tech who bought two drones, a switch, ray ban metas, and many other pieces of tech from this specific bestbuy, I have had a horrible experience that involved cops being called on me and forcing em to leave. Is a scam going in with the employees? Or is negligence? Did they just not notice they sold me a go pro 13 that substituted form a broken 11? Or did they do it intentionally to put money I their pockets? If the equipment is in the hard cases that need keys to unlock, and the open boxes are in the back of the store, then how was someone going around switching the go pros with broken ones? Was it an employee? Or is it just a story?
I bought a GoPro 13 creator kit open box in excellent condition. Got home and found a fried broken go pro 11 inside the case, with the rest of the creator kit being there in ok conditions. I brought it back to the store and was an excuse in how they had a person switching out the go pros for broken ones but the nipped it in the butt. When I pointed out that they failed to take the broken ones off the floor, they tried to claim what they just said as hersay. So I revealed I had it on recording and I'm New York city it's legal to record one way, they called the cops on me for trespassing after issuing me my refund and refusing to allow me to shop their. Nypd officers who arrived took their side regardless of the video evidence showing them admit to knowing about the defective kits.
I attached the “excellent condition go pro 13 creators kit” they gave me.
If the owner of best busy see this, I would like you to know that I video and evidence of the situation and I would like to share it with you to show true transplanted in how I was treated. Someone’s who’s been a long time customer. So long in fact I remember holding my mothers hand walking through that store, and now I’m a grown man who treated less then human by your staff. And when I exposed them they then acted like a victim and called the cops on me, even though the political climate now in days could’ve made things escalate so much that people could’ve gotten hurt. Well more than me. Seeming I lost my ability to shop in your store, and I can’t access my funds until my bank releases them. All because I was scammed and giving a destroyed 11 when I paid for a 13. Honest to god. All I wanted was my 13 creator kit.

I purchased this laptop on 1/15/25 online and had it delivered. NOT EVEN A MONTH LATER IT HAS STOP TURNING ON. For the first 2 WEEKS perfect. As soon as my return/ exchange warrant ended after 15 days my laptop subsequently stopped turning on. No damage in ANY CAPACITY, it literally left my room once. THE CHARGE LIGHT COMES ON AS SEEN IN THE PICTURE BUT IT WILL NOT POWER UP. Ive tried the factory reset and everything else HP recommends on their site. STILL WONT POWER ON.
Yes it is refurbished (EXCELLENT TIER), However in spite of that, I HOPED best buy could at least provide a product that would get me through the rest of my school semester (NOT EVEN 100 DAYS, THE LAPTOP DIDNT EVEN LAST 100 DAYS). And to top it all off, Best buy wants me to PAY MORE for a diagnostic? Yall can't even diagnose the issue without running my pockets some more? After yall sold me a faulty piece of DOODOO? Best Buy on Richmond Ave at the Staten Island mall, This is shameful. Please do better.
