I went to Best Buy yesterday to inquire about video game trade-in toward a new purchase. Their inventory was lacking the item I wanted to purchase. When I received my trade-in offer it was much lower than their major competitor’s offer.
What’s more, I believe I left a personal item in their store, so I called the store to speak with customer service. An AI operator answered my call and was unable to help with my inquiry. So I asked to speak to a live customer service agent and was directed to an off-site service agent who was also unable to answer my inquiry. He informed me that the store does not take incoming calls. This is the absolute WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I now need to drive 30 minutes just to find out if they have my lost item, potentially wasting a trip.
Best Buy has just lost a loyal customer for 30 years.

Went there for the trade in promotion for a switch 2, got the trade in credit but was not given the $75 promotional coupon, associate stated he applied it on the computer but did not.
