Geek squad kid lied to me did not price match bc he didn’t feel like it.. spent a ton of time sorting it out with customer service got disconnected several times, still waiting on my refund

I have shopped at Best Buy in Montrose (Akron) habitually for over 20 years, have had only positive experiences. In December, I drove 45 minutes to the Mentor store to pick up an open box dryer that I'd purchased online, which was allegedly in "excellent" condition. The transaction was smooth, it was already wrapped and ready to go when I arrived. Given my years of positive experiences with Best Buy, I didn't push for them to unwrap it for inspection. When I got it home and unwrapped it, we found a huge dent in the back, which pushed the plenum panel in 2 inches, from top to bottom. It looks like someone drove a forklift into it at 20 mph. The lint trap was also completely full, as if it had been run 10x with full loads and never cleaned. By Best Buys' definition, this is a "fair" open box at best, not excellent, and should have been priced $150 lower. When I returned to the store to complain, i was promised a call back from the Manager of the Mentor Store, but a call never came. I wound up installing the dryer (we gotta deal with landry, after all), and while it does seem to work, the hard hit it took, and the deformed plenum due to the dent, is bound to cause premature issues. Leaving two stars instead of one because the rest of the transaction was smooth and seamless, but frankly I feel scammed.
