I recently purchased a laptop from BestBuy in Bend. I was told by the sales clerk that in order to have Microsoft office with Outlook I would need to buy a new program. My current computer program would not transfer over. This was false and the program he sold me did not have Outlook on it. I tried to return the unused program. I was told it is not returnable and I am just out the money spent. I asked to talk to a supervisor and was told he would tell me the same thing and he refused to call anyone. I was told to call Microsoft and ask them for help. VERY poor customer service from the purchase to the refusal of a refund!
WORST VISIT EVER 9/12/25 530pm. I went into this location, wanting to buy a specific MacBook with all the specs I preferred (I had a screenshot from the website). RYAN, the man working in the apple section, comes up, tries to convince me for 5 minutes how horrible apple products are & he went on & on about how he's had a computer since 2007 that still works, so therefore I should completely change my mind. After insisting that I wanted to stick with my decision, he tries to tell me they don't have it & then changes his mind & says "Oh, it's over 2,00$, why would you want to pay that?", um, well, you are actually looking at the wrong product & it's in front of me & its actually 1,300$, I say to him. He says Oh. He then gets his coworker to grab it, doesn't ask me what color I want by the way, then stands awkwardly next to me & says, "What are you majoring in? I'm doing aerospace engineering, this little laptop wouldn't be able to handle that." Okay, cool, awesome, GIVE ME THE LAPTOP I WANT. I just don't understand why he felt the need to continue & continue to make me feel like I shouldn't purchase this laptop. He then gives me the MacBook & says, "I have no idea what color this is. Maybe this one?" Look at the box & tell me what color it is. I took the laptop & there was another customer who saw the entire interaction too. He looked at me & we both shook our heads. Later, he agreed that Ryan should not have talked to me that way, let alone told me I was making a horrible decision. Keep in mind, this guy had an Apple Watch on, so no, he actually doesn't hate Apple. Maybe mad at the fact that I look young & could afford a MacBook. He is a HORRIBLE worker & should be fired. The way he talked to me was unacceptable & trying to make me feel small by "not knowing the best decision", & ultimately making me feel dumb for the major I am majoring in. He is outrageous. I was going to purchase an iPad as well but he made me so uncomfortable that I didnt & don't want to go back there again. Absolutely outrageous. Please fire RYAN!!
They barely have any options for the wide variety of electronics and accessories. That they are BEST known for "having". They didn't even have a Samsung galaxy 6 watch charger. They barely even have much selections of stereo equipment automotive or household. Deffinatly not the top of the line products ANYMORE?
what happened to best buy man? Looks like they need to find another company to partner up with or sell out to. cuz MAN! not having the available products that your company is WELL KNOWN FOR...

I recently bought a laptop from Best Buy and while I’m happy with the machine I chose, the buying experience was frustrating. I did my homework ahead of time, compared all the models in store, checked the specs and prices, and picked out the one I wanted. When I told the employee my choice, he was very persistent about trying to sell me a lesser laptop instead. I had to repeat myself several times that I wanted the one I had chosen, but he kept implying I didn’t know what I was talking about and that the features I wanted were unnecessary. He didn’t take the time to understand my actual needs and the constant push to downsize me was out of pocket and exhausting. In the end, I got the laptop I wanted, but the customer service experience left a lot to be desired.
