I purchased a computer on Monday. I started the setup process and the computer crashed before it was finished. I was not able to fix the problem so I took it to the store where I was told that the operating system was corrupted and it would need the operating system and software reinstalled. I was then told that it would cost me $179. I said that I would then just like to return the computer but I was told that I could not return it because it was broken. They sold me a broken computer and the only option I was given was to pay them to fix it. After spending more than an hour navigating their call centers I was finally able to get a call back from a store manager who was very helpful and resolved the $179 charge. This is not the end of the story however, when my employee went to pick up the computer she was told that there was a $100 balance to be paid. I attempted to reach the manager but you cannot call the store directly. After spending another hour on the phone, I was told there was nothing to be done and that they would not connect me to the manager.
This has been the worst experience of my life. I see no reason to ever shop at Best Buy again. They refuse to stand by their products even when they sell you something broken right out of the box and less the 12 hour after the sale. And, worst of all, you have to waist hours to be told they won't do anything. The only saving grace was the manager who at least attempted to rectify the situation. Shop at Amazon, don't get ripped off here.

Either I always seem to find nice and helpful people wherever I go or they actually hired people like that. They all seem friendly and knowledgeable. And didn't happen to make me feel dumb for not knowing anything about computers and things ( I do that all on my own) I like this Best buy always quality products and quality people.
We bought a 32 inch bedroom TV at a phenomenal price.
Great answers on both a new computer and a new phone
