I operate a small home-based business (for 30 years now). Three days after buying a 12 month Geek Squad Total Member subscription for $175, I called 24/7 online help to fix an email issue. The online Tech support was running "Microsoft repair" when a 2nd online tech rebooted my computer which crashed the Microsoft operating system. Unable to access internet I was forced to take it to a Best Buy store to get repaired. It took more than a week. Worse my business was not operational because I could not use my point of sale software, give estimates, or process credit cards. I lost a few thousand in business all those days. Due to incompetence of the online people and the lack of urgency at the store, I requested a full refund which is allowed up to the first 60 days if not satisfied. I asked for a higher level corporate person to call me to discuss this and ticket 355331518 was created for this purpose. This corporate person never called but rudely refunded me $27.00 and canceled the remaining 12 months of my subscription. Another ticket was created 355379360 and was "escalated" to undo what the 1st corporate person did. Once again, I was ignored and disrespected. Those online techs cost me money, time, my subscription, and anguish. And the higher level corporate people cost me the same.
