Worst experience I've ever had shopping a Best Buy. Kid tried every high pressure sales technique including shaming me for looking at the "budget wall" for a laptop. He kept pushing their service package and out right lying to me about what I wouldn't be able to do for free myself. He said I had to buy a new office 365 subscription and that my lifetime office home subscription was dead with my old computer. Come to find out, all I needed to do was log into Microsoft and open Word and they automatically transferred my subscription. He also said I had to pay them $150 to get my files off my old dead computer. This is a free service at Staples and only requires a $10 adapter to do it yourself.. DON'T BELIEVE A WORD THEY SAY! Do your own research and save a lot of money. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is the laptop I bought had the best stats for the price around.
Wish they would answer their phone, not Calcutta
their store is so empty it feels like they are going out of business
Best Buy Geek Squad promised me a $400 voucher for my broken washing machine despite being out of warranty (purchased 2019 for $560 from Best Buy) after a technician confirmed repair costs exceeded the machine’s value. I’m a Total Tech member and paid $100 for the April 15th appointment. Called April 15-17, each time told I’d get the voucher by Thursday 7 PM. Today, they backtracked, offering only $50, citing “policy.” This bait-and-switch is unacceptable! @BestBuy @GeekSquad, honor your recorded promise or face an Oregon AG complaint. Consumers deserve better! #BestBuy #GeekSquad #ConsumerRights
